Mining Industry
Dry Ice Blasting is used extensively for mining industry cleaning applications with great success. Dry Ice Blasting is far superior to traditional cleaning methods as it is a dry process that creates no secondary wastes. It reduces or eliminates the need for toxic solvents, and the cleanup and disposal of blasting media, such as; sand, grit, water etc., that are hard to clean up and expensive to dispose of. Because dry ice (CO2) sublimates on contact with the object being cleaned there is less cleanup required; this means less downtime. All types of equipment can be cleaned without damage or chemicals being used. It is safe to use underground as long as there is good ventilation and air flow. Dust, oil and buildups can quickly build up and choke equipment if not properly cared for, causing costly down time.
